One hisab for everything

Everything a Nepali household has money in.

Not an expense tracker with a paywall in the middle — a full household ledger. Every line below is free, with no limit on entries, accounts or months.

What you hold

  • Bank accounts NIC Asia, Nabil, Global IME — a label you make, never a login.
  • Wallets eSewa, Khalti and IME Pay, in the same list as everything else.
  • Cash in hand The notes in your wallet, counted like any other account.
  • Sun ra chandi Gold and silver by the tola, revalued from the morning's rate.
  • NEPSE shares Holdings at average cost, with bonus shares and rights handled.
  • IPO ra ASBA Application money locked, not spendable, until allotment.
  • Dollar card Foreign currency held and spent, at what you actually got.
  • Physical assets Land, the bike, the fridge — what you own outside the bank.

What moves

  • Kharcha Two taps for the amounts you repeat, grouped by day and by shop.
  • Talab ra aamdani Payslips with PF, SSF, CIT and TDS taken out properly.
  • Remittance Recorded at what actually landed, not the quoted rate.
  • Transfers Bank to eSewa, an ATM withdrawal — moved, not spent.
  • Budgets A fixed figure or a share of what you earn, the rest carried forward.
  • Bills ra kisti Weekly through yearly, on a Bikram Sambat due calendar.
  • Repeating entries The rent, the internet, the milk — written once, then automatic.
  • Categories Your own, in Nepali or English, with the ones you use most on top.

What is owed, and what it adds up to

  • Sapati What you lent and what you owe, per person, with the last reminder.
  • Loans Each instalment split into interest and principal when you mark it paid.
  • Goals Save for something or clear a loan, with the monthly figure it needs.
  • Net worth Four figures and a trend, saving separated from market movement.
  • Insights By category, month, payment mode, day of the week and merchant.
  • Your habits The days and the shops your money actually leaves you on.
  • Reports A statement PDF for the bank, or the whole ledger as CSV and JSON.
  • Export ra backup Everything you entered, yours to take out, any time.

Sampatti, month by month

One number for how the year is actually going.

Everything you own, minus everything you owe, on one line that moves. Mero Savings splits the movement in two, so you can tell what you put away yourself from what the gold price and NEPSE did for you — the difference between a good habit and a good year.

Then set what you are saving for. Each goal carries the monthly figure it actually needs by the Bikram Sambat month you named, so it stops being a wish and starts being a number you can miss or hit.

  • Bachat — what you put away yourself
  • Bazaar — what gold, shares and rates added on top
  • Baaki — the monthly figure each goal still needs

Built for Nepal

Nepal is not an afterthought here.

Most budgeting apps were built somewhere else and translated. The calendar is wrong, the numbers are grouped wrong, and the things Nepali households actually deal with — sapati, tola, kisti, remittance, Dashain — are simply missing. Mero Savings starts from those.

Patro

Your year ends in Ashadh.

Bikram Sambat is the default, not a display option. Budgets run Shrawan to Shrawan, bills fall on BS dates, and the year-end review lands in Ashadh where the fiscal year actually closes. Every entry stores both dates, so switch to Gregorian any time.

Lakh ra crore

Nobody reads 125,000.

Rupees group the way you say them — रू 1,25,000, with the lakh and crore caption underneath. Devanagari or Latin numerals, your choice. Amounts are whole paisa end to end, so nothing is ever a rounding error.

रू 1,25,000 one lakh twenty-five thousand

Sun ra chandi ko bhau

Sun, chandi, dollar — every morning.

Hallmark gold and silver from FENEGOSIDA, exchange rates from Nepal Rastra Bank, fetched once each morning. Your gold is revalued from the tola quantity you entered, so the jewellery in the almirah counts as the asset it is.

4.2 tola revalued every morning, on its own

Just say it

Say it once. It's written.

The hard part of any money app is the typing. Speak a sentence the way you actually talk, photograph the bill, or let Mero Savings read the payment alert your bank already sent to your phone. It works out the amount, the shop, the account and the Nepali date.

Nothing is saved on its own. You see what it worked out, fix whatever is wrong, and press save. On Android you choose exactly which apps it may read — your bank, eSewa, Khalti — the filter runs on the phone, and anything that looks like an OTP is dropped before it leaves the device.

  • Speak it — "Bhatbhateni ma 8240 kharcha bhayo"
  • Snap it — a receipt, or the payment screen after you pay
  • Let it read — bank and wallet alerts, Android only, opt-in
  • Import it — a bank statement PDF, a whole month at once

श्रावण २०८३

Two days missed this month. The streak picked up again on the third — it does not scold you, and it does not reset your history.

The habit, not the chore

The point is who you become with money.

Anyone can install a money app. Almost nobody keeps one. So Mero Savings is built around the one thing that actually decides whether this works — writing it down today, and again tomorrow, until it stops being a decision.

One nudge, at a time you choose, anchored to something you already do. Repeat entries are a single tap. A missed day is a missed day, not a failure — nothing is deleted and nothing lectures you. And every month it shows you what your own money actually did, so you finish the year knowing more than you started it with.

  • One tap — the momo, the bus, the milk, priced from last time
  • One nudge — at your hour, not at 9am someone else picked
  • One number — a daily reconciliation beats twelve forgotten entries
  • No guilt — miss a week and the ledger is still yours

Sapati

Sapati, written down properly.

Every Nepali household has money out with someone and money owed to someone, and it almost never lives anywhere but memory. Mero Savings keeps it per person — what went out, what has come back, what is still outstanding, and when you last reminded them.

Both sides can hold the same record, so a repayment does not turn into an argument about what the figure was.

Questions

The short answers.

Is Mero Savings free?

The budgeting app is free and stays free — accounts, expenses, budgets, bills, goals, investments, net worth, the reviews, all of it.

The only paid part is AI capture: reading a voice note, a photo of a receipt, a bank SMS or a statement PDF for you. Every account gets six months of everything free, and a batch of AI credits to try. After that, a Premium year adds 300 AI credits — sign in to your account to see the current price and how to arrange it.

Does Mero Savings connect to my bank?

No, and it is not going to. Mero Savings never asks for a bank login, a card number or an OTP, and there is no integration with any bank, wallet or cooperative.

Accounts in Mero Savings are labels you create — 'NIC Asia', 'eSewa', 'the cash in my wallet'. A balance is the opening figure you entered plus every entry since.

Does it work in Bikram Sambat?

Yes, and it is the default. Every entry stores both dates, so you can switch the whole app between Bikram Sambat and Gregorian whenever you like. Months, budgets, reviews and the fiscal year all follow BS — the year closes in Ashadh.

What does the AI actually do?

It turns something you already have into a draft entry: a sentence you type or speak, a photo of a receipt or payment screen, a bank statement PDF, or — on Android — the payment alerts your phone already shows you.

It never saves anything on its own. You see the amount, category, account and date it worked out, you correct what is wrong, and you press save.

How does Mero Savings read my bank alerts on Android?

Only if you switch it on. Android asks you to grant notification access in your phone's settings, and you pick which apps Mero Savings may read — your bank, eSewa, Khalti.

The filter runs on your phone. Alerts that are not about money, and anything that looks like an OTP, are dropped before they leave the device. You can turn the whole thing off in Settings and the permission goes with it.

Do you sell my data?

No. No advertising, no data brokers, no sharing with banks, insurers, employers or credit agencies. There is no analytics SDK following you around the app.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings, then Delete account. It removes your entries, accounts, budgets, goals, holdings, drafts and your sign-in, permanently, everywhere.

If you have already removed the app, the same request can be made by email — see the account deletion page.
